How to get the right measurements

If you don’t have the right amount of ingredients it is likely that your recipe won’t work so make sure that you measure accurately.  If you are measuring liquids use a measuring jug.  This will normally show amounts in pints, litres and millilitres. 

Butter and dry ingredients can be measured using scales.  There are several different types of scales available varying from digital scales to ones where you have to put traditional weights on and balance the ingredients.  These will measure in kilos and pounds (lbs).
